With the arrival of November, a sense of holiday magic fills the air, and we’re excited to share the joy of this festive season with you in our special November Wine Club Release.

As the year draws to a close, we’re pleased to present two wines that are perfect for celebrating the upcoming holidays. First, we have the 2021 Oak Hill Reserve Pinot Gris, a wine that shimmers with crisp notes of blood orange and peach, a delightful companion for your Thanksgiving table. And for those cozy winter evenings, we bring you the 2020 Tempranillo, a rich and velvety red wine with hints of dark berries and a touch of spice, ideal for warming your heart by the fire. These wines reflect the very spirit of this enchanting season, and we can’t wait for you to experience the magic they bring to your celebrations.

Sweet Cheeks Winery 2021 Oak Hill Reserve Pinot Gris

Vintage Club Release: 2021 Oak Hill Reserve Pinot Gris

Ripe notes of stone fruit, accented by a crisp acidity compliment the palate of our Reserve Pinot Gris. Upon the first sip, guests can usually notice that there is something special about this wine.

Our Reserve Pinot Gris is sourced from our Oak Hill block. Planted in 1994, this hillside receives extended sunshine, promoting a rich flavor profile. We highlight this flavor profile by aging 50% of the wine in French oak barrels for 9 months.

If you notice a sunset hue in your glass, it’s purposely made to match the skyline behind this block in the evening hours. After hand-harvesting this wine, we leave it on the skin for 12 hours before pressing.

Sweet Cheeks Winery 2020 Tempranillo

Vintage Club Release: 2020 Tempranillo

Ribbons of dried fig and cherry with sparks of clove are captured perfectly in our Tempranillo. This Spanish varietal is slowing making a name for itself in Oregon, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s bold, but it also has whispers of elegance.

Sourced from our friends, Serra Vineyards, we aged this wine in our French/American hybrid barrels for 19 months. We mainly used neutral oak barrels to highlight the beautiful texture of our Tempranillo.

We are thrilled to be releasing this wine just in time for the holiday and winter seasons. The lingering tannins will wrap you in a warm embrace and be your new ‘comfort’ wine – perfect with all of your favorite winter meals.

Barrel Select Club Release: 2019 Serra Vineyards Syrah

Vineyard:Serra Vineyards
Barrel Production:Three
Barrel Aging:19 months
Case Production:73

About ten years ago, our team came together and had an idea to create a new wine club experience, releasing small-production, extended-aged red wines. From there, our winemaker created the first vintage for our new Barrel Select Club, the 2014 Serra Vineyards Syrah. The Serra Vineyards Syrah has been a staple in our Barrel Select Club portfolio ever since. Serra Vineyards is located in the Applegate Valley, where warm-climate varietals, like Syrah, flourish.

This Syrah is one for the books. Warm notes of baking spices and hints of violet open on the nose, leading into a rich palate of currants and dark berries. This vintage was aged for 19 months in French/American hybrid barrels in 67% new and 33% neutral oak. You might notice a grip in texture, noting a wonderful tannic structure.

This wine is drinking well now and can be aged for another 8 years.

Primary Flavor: Red Currant
