2014 Pinot Fusion
Our 2014 Pinot Fusion is a blend of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Merlot. This blend wraps you up in a velvety embrace with a palate that’s loud with flavors of bright cherry, blackberry and ripe plum. The finish leaves a lasting impression of texture and notes of chocolate and oak spice.
Our 2014 Barrel Select Syrah is a prime example of a Southern Oregon Syrah. Full bodied, deep in color with rich aromatics. Flavors of Italian plum and hints of vanilla, apricot, and white pepper. A well rounded texture and soft tannins in the finish. A small amount of post press, Viognier skins were added for enhanced floral aromas and palate suppleness. This wine was aged in 30% new French Oak barrels for 22 months.
This wine was destemmed, crushed and cold soaked for 5 days, then inoculated into a long cool fermentation (approx. 12 days). Following primary fermentation, the wine was pressed off and aged into French oak barrels, mostly new, for 9 months, completing malolactic fermentation. This medium bodied wine exhibits ripe aromas of blackberry, raspberry, plum, vanilla, with a hint of mocha. Our merlot pairs well with hearty tomato-based pasta, roasted duck, and lightly spiced meat.
