Sunshine, blue skies, and warm breezy afternoons are here, a time when we kick off our shoes, put our feet up, and soak in all that is summer. Ahead are the months of trail hiking, coastal camping, and backyard barbecuing; when the red wine in our cellars tend to take a back seat while the whites and rosés are placed front and center – fresh out of the fridge, chilled, and ready to quench our palates with crisp mouth watering citrus, stone fruit, and mineral notes. 

So sit back and relax, our Summer Starter Kit is a six-pack of summer sippers that is here to help you swing into summer with an easy breezy twist of the cap. 

Summer Starter Kit

The Summer Starter Kit includes 2 bottles of our 2019 Grüner Veltliner, 2 bottles of 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, and 2 bottles of 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé.

2019 Grüner Veltliner

Our 2019 Grüner Veltliner has aromas of fresh sliced green apple, grapefruit, and lime – underscored by hints of jasmine and white pepper. Crisp and juicy citrus fruit explodes on the palate giving way to lean wet stone notes followed by a nutty spiciness. A mouthwatering acidic backbone runs along the center of the palate through to the lengthy finish that immediately beckons another sip. Pair with sunshine, friends, and a summer Chop Salad with Corn, Snap Peas, and Bacon.

2020 Sauvignon Blanc

For our 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, our winemaker Leo blended fruit from two different vineyards located in two different AVAs with varying climates, resulting in a super fruit forward wine with vibrant aromas and crisp flavors of green melon, freshly sliced pear, and lime verbena herb. Highlighted by mineral driven notes of salty sea spray, a mid palate hint of zesty jalapeno is joined with racy acidity that follows through to a perpetually bright and juicy finish. Pair with a coastal trip of camping and crabbing, and use the crab to make a fresh Dungeness Crab Ceviche, so easy to make and so incredibly tasty!  

2019 Pinot Noir Rosé

Our 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé is normally only available to our wine club members, but we’re making this special wine available (temporarily) to non-members so they, too, can enjoy this beauty in the glass with its rose quartz hues and surprising punch of tropical guava, tart strawberries, hibiscus, and plumeria aromas. On the palate, juicy watermelon, strawberries, and raspberries are followed by a shot of mouth-watering lime zest and subtle spice notes. Bright, refreshing and perfect on a sunny summer afternoon while barbecuing with family and friends. Enjoy a glass alongside a refreshing bowl of Watermelon Salad with Mint and Lime, one of the most refreshing combinations ever.
