From Race Day to Game Day – here is the Sweet Cheeks Winery Guide:

Whether you’re coming to town to run, cheer, or celebrate, this weekend in Eugene is packed with energy, community, and plenty of ways to soak it all in. From the excitement of the Eugene Marathon to the electric atmosphere of the Oregon Football Spring Game, here’s your go-to guide for making the most of your time in TrackTown, USA.

Race Weekend: Run, Cheer, Repeat

The Eugene Marathon (and Half, 5K, and Duck Dash!) is one of our favorite weekends of the year! Many of our Sweet Cheeks Family have completed various races over the years. Few races offer the chance to cheer on participants from nearly the entire course, making it an unforgettable experience whether you’re running or spectating.

Tips for Spectators:

Don’t miss the finish line moment: There’s nothing quite like entering Hayward Field and seeing runners cross the finish line on the big screen.

Plan your checkpoints ahead of time: Road closures and reroutes are part of the day, so mapping out where you’ll cheer is key.

Give yourself extra time: Parking around Hayward Field can be tricky. Arrive early and expect to walk a bit.

Bring a sign! Whether personalized or generic, they go a long way toward boosting runners’ spirits.

Game Day: Go Ducks!

If you’re in town for the Oregon Football Spring Game at Autzen Stadium, you’re in for a treat.

Game Day Tips:

Bring canned goods: This event supports Food for Lane County. A great way to give back while you cheer.

Plan ahead for parking: A pass is required for Autzen Stadium lots.

Clear bag policy: Be sure your bag meets stadium requirements.

Tailgating is part of the fun: Pack snacks, fire up the grill, or enjoy food and drinks inside the stadium.

Where to Eat in Eugene & Springfield

After a big race or before kickoff, you’ll want a great meal. Here are a few local favorites worth making a reservation for:

Take Sweet Cheeks With You

Planning a picnic, tailgate, or relaxing afternoon? You can find Sweet Cheeks wines at local retailers, including Safeway, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, and Market of Choice.

And if you’re a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, you can even grab a bottle at Trader Joe’s.

Flying out of Eugene Airport? Enjoy one last glass before you head home; it’s one of our favorite travel traditions.

Make Time for the Tasting Room

Have a little extra time this weekend? We’d love to welcome you to Sweet Cheeks Winery.

Race participants, this one’s for you:
Show your race bib in our tasting room through April 29th and enjoy a complimentary tasting (21+ only).

It’s the perfect way to celebrate your finish or toast to a weekend well spent. Make a reservation here

A Few More Ways to Enjoy Eugene

If you’re staying a bit longer, consider catching other University of Oregon sporting events happening around campus, exploring local trails, or simply soaking in the spring sunshine. Eugene shines this time of year, and there’s no shortage of ways to experience it.

However you spend your weekend: running, cheering, tailgating, or relaxing, we’re so glad you’re here.

Cheers to a memorable Eugene experience,
– The Sweet Cheeks Winery Team
