Here is a little insight into our Sweet Cheeks family.  If you have the opportunity to come into our tasting room you will get a chance to meet some of our friendly and knowledgeable staff.  Since we are a small, boutique winery we find ourselves connecting to the customers and each other very closely, thus considering ourselves a family.
 

Dan Smith- Dan is the owner/creator of Sweet Cheeks Winery.  He owns and has been farming this vineyard since in 1989.  With a successful background in commercial refrigeration working with various Oregon wineries, he took his knowledge and experience and expanded his vineyard to a winery in 2005.  He is a hands-on owner and if you are looking for him, you may still find him in the vineyard on a tractor.

Jeff Alexander- Jeff joined our team as winemaker in May of 2013! He studied Fermentation Science at the University of California Davis and has spent time as a brewer, winemaker, and distiller. He established his own wine label, Alexander Cellars in 1993 while working as the Brewmaster for Los Gatos Brewing Company. He most recently worked as a consultant for wineries, distillers, and brewers throughout the U.S. and South America. He's excited to be back in the lifestyle of a winemaker and looks forward to bringing a different point of view of winemaking and its enjoyment.

Leo Gabica- Leo has been our assistant winemaker since 2005.  With a background in winemaking from other wineries and by helping to develop our wine program from day one, Leo continues to be a strong member of our team. 

Kacy Minnis- Kacy has been with us since 2006.  With a strong passion for the wine industry and many years in the hospitality industry, she has had a hand in helping the winery grow from the early days.  She is currently Sweet Cheeks Winery manager.

Mallory Bowman and Laura Moshofsky - This dynamic duo are our wedding and event coordinators. They have been here since 2011. With both a strong love of people and wine, and endless amounts of energy, they continue to inspire our signature events while supporting customers with their own private parties.

Trevor Krivoshein- Trevor has been managing all outside sales since 2011.  Trevor has a background in wine sales with other wineries in Oregon and brings great knowledge to our team as we continue to grow.

Harry Thomas- Harry has been a part-time employee with us since 2011 and recently graduated from the University of Oregon in June.  He is currently taking on the role of our full-time graphic designer and social media guru.

Marita Nelson- Marita was hired as one of the first wine servers back in 2005.  She has since retired from her full-time job with the United States Postal Service and continues to work for us part-time.

Jessica Ramp- Jessi, a recent University of Oregon graduate, has been a part time employee since 2011. She currently handles our shipping and wine club.

Kali Lantrip- Kali has been a part-time employee with us since 2010.  Kali is a full-time graduate student at the University of Oregon.

Kody- Kody joined the Sweet Cheeks Family back in 2010.  He is our beloved winery dog.  Feel free to throw him a ball or stick if you are sitting on the patio -- he will be your friend for life.
